I have added a text paragraph but there is no text box on the page.
You need to use the Multi-Line Text Input Type instead.
The Text Paragraph input type allows you to define a paragraph of text for your users to read in the middle of the form. This can be useful if you need to give some extra information to your users to help them fill in the form.
If you want to display a large text box for your users to type text into (as opposed to a Single Line Text box), you need to use the Multi Line Text Input Type. This presents a large text box on the page, as shown in the image below.
