Help! There is no one here who can edit our website and we have an urgent change to make!

It is your responsibility to assign rights to users in your organisation for them to edit and publish to your website. We cannot create users or change users' rights for you. Sometimes however, you may need our assistance. Here is how we can give it.

Only users who have certain permissions can edit your website, or publish changes to the live site. When your site is first implemented, the project owner in your organisation is given full administration rights to your website. This person can then create user accounts for anyone else in your organisation, and assign rights to those people, from authors and editors up to further administrators.

User accounts and their rights are maintained by you; Cubik will not grant rights to people in your organisation.

If a request is made to the Helpdesk to create a user account on your website, or to increase the rights of an existing user, we will not be able to fulfil your request. This is to ensure the integrity and security of your website; we have no way of verifying whether the user has a genuine reason for being given increased rights to modify your website.

If there is no one in your organisation who is able to grant rights due to holiday or sickness, we will assist you, but we will need to either speak with the person known to us as the project lead, or will need a signed, faxed request from a senior member of your organisation.
